About This Event

Understanding Culture in Our Children's Lives will explore cultural preservation and transmission, the values of cultural appreciation, and how diversity, equity, and inclusion is addressed within our community for children. Panelists and youth voices will share insights about the challenges that many children face living in our current society and how our community can help young people embrace their culture and identity. \ \ Proceeds from this event will help fund the Positive School Discipline Institute, a nine-month training initiative for local educators on culturally-responsive, trauma-informed practices in schools; and support other advocacy programs that help prevent the criminalization of children.\ \ One $35 ticket gives an individual access to all four presentations.
