Chef Joseph Hsu, brings 25 years of experience with him to Vivante. Originally from Taiwan, he moved to the States when he was 12 years old, settling in Pennsylvania. After graduating from Penn State University, Joseph followed his passion for cooking working all over the country from New York City to Florida and out to Colorado. He spent 9 years with Landry's Restaurants, first as an Executive Chef and then as a Regional Chef supporting acquisitions and openings. Joseph moved to Indiana in 2013 working for the Indianapolis Zoo as an Executive Chef and then in 2017 he started his own business with 5280 Bistro Hospitality. In addition to his passion for food, Joseph is also passionate about his community and was one of the first chefs to become involved in the Chefs Move to School program. He describes his cooking style as classic cuisine with a contemporary twist and a strong desire use uniquely local products.
